Getting started
Create your first deck and cards, and finish your first study session.
3 min
Install and open the app, then follow these three steps to start studying.
1. Create a deck
On first launch the app seeds a “Getting started” deck containing one demo card.
Open Decks from the home screen and tap + to create a deck:
- Name: name it by topic, e.g. “Spanish vocab” or “Kanji”
- Icon: pick an emoji as the deck’s icon
- Description: optional — what this deck is for
2. Add cards
Open the deck and tap + to add a card:
- Both question and answer support Markdown — bold, lists, code blocks
- Attach images from gallery or camera (up to 8 per card)
- Pick a category color to make the card stand out in lists
3. Study
Tap Study in the deck and follow the review flow:
- Read the question, then tap the card (or press Space) to flip and reveal the answer
- Rate your recall: Again / Hard / Good / Easy
- Every rating button shows the resulting review interval — that’s the schedule at work
After rating, the next card appears automatically. When today’s due cards are done you’ll see the completion screen — come back tomorrow, and each card will be waiting at its optimal time.
